Spencer Pahlke

Spencer J. Pahlke is a Shareholder at Walkup, Melodia, Kelly & Schoenberger (Walkup Personal Injury Lawyers) in San Francisco. He joined the firm in 2007 and represents clients in personal injury, wrongful death, defective products, vehicle collisions, dangerous property conditions, and medical negligence matters.

Pahlke earned his Bachelor of Arts with Highest Distinction from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2004, with double majors in Economics and Psychology and minors in English and Communications. He received his Juris Doctor from UC Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall) in 2007, where he won the Prosser Trophy in Legal Ethics and Environmental Law, was a member of the California Law Review, and served as an associate editor of the Ecology Law Quarterly.

He lectures in Trial Advocacy at UC Berkeley School of Law, directs Berkeley Law's external trial competition program, and has been a guest lecturer at Michigan Law, San Francisco State University, Universidad de Monterrey, and the Baylor School of Trial Practice (St. Andrews, Scotland).

Pahlke has been recognized as a Super Lawyer (2013-2020), Rising Star (2011-2012), and Outstanding Lawyer (2014-2020), and was named to The Daily Journal's "40 Under 40" in 2020. He received the Edward D. Ohlbaum Professionalism Award. He co-authored Introduction to Trial Advocacy: The Elements of Trial.

Notable case results include a $20 million family vs. farm trustee/manufacturer recovery, a $10 million child medical negligence recovery, a $6.01 million cyclist recovery, and multiple other significant settlements and verdicts.
