James Wettermark, whose name the firm carries, now serves of counsel after a four-decade trial career of more than 200 jury verdicts across a dozen states, including a $34 million FELA award reported as the largest railroad-injury verdict in history and a $6.2 million medical malpractice settlement that set a Tennessee record at the time. An Auburn economics graduate, he served as Student Work Editor of the Alabama Law Review at the University of Alabama School of Law and holds bar admissions in Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee, with Mid-South Super Lawyers honors from 2008 through 2024.
