Rene M. Sigman is Of Counsel at Williams Hart & Boundas, overseeing its insurance practice and widely recognized as one of the pioneers of first-party policyholder representation in Texas. She began her career in 2002 after earning her J.D. from South Texas College of Law and has personally handled thousands of first-party litigation cases against insurance carriers over more than 20 years. At age thirty-one, she was appointed as Plaintiffs' Liaison on Hurricane Ike property damage claims in multiple Texas counties, and she was lead attorney in a two-day deposition of the top wind expert for the Texas Windstorm Association that resulted in TWIA paying hundreds of millions to resolve Bolivar Island Hurricane Ike claims. She is licensed in Texas, Colorado, and New York and has been named to the Texas Super Lawyers list since 2016.
