Melissa Carter

Melissa D. Carter is the Managing Partner of Adler Giersch in Seattle, Washington, where she represents personal injury clients. With over 25 years of experience, she initially built her career on the insurance industry side before switching to client representation to pursue more meaningful legal work.

Carter earned her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in 1999 and her undergraduate degree from the University of Washington. She is admitted to practice in Washington State.

Her recognitions include the Avvo Client's Choice Award (2025), an Avvo 5-Star rating, a Martindale-Hubbell 5-Star peer rating, and a Super Lawyers 10+ Years designation. Carter serves on the board of Chad's Legacy Project, a nonprofit focused on youth mental health, and volunteers with the Brain Injury Alliance of Washington.
