About Richard Adler
Richard H. Adler is the Founding Principal and Partner of Adler Giersch, a Washington personal injury law firm with offices in Seattle, Issaquah, Everett, and Kent. He has more than 40 years of practice experience.
Adler is recognized as an expert in traumatic brain injury law and works to give voice to individuals who have been wronged. He worked with client Zackery Lystedt and state and national leaders to change laws around how athletes are treated when diagnosing concussions, and helped establish the Zackery Lystedt Endowed Professorship at the University of Washington to advance education on traumatic brain injuries. He has authored a book on Traumatic Brain Injury.
Adler earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center (1980) and his B.A. from the State University of New York (1977). He is admitted to practice in Washington State.

Notable case results
Richard Adler and co-counsel Mike Nelson secured a $14.6 million settlement for Zackery Lystedt, a 13-year-old Tahoma Junior High football player left with catastrophic brain damage after coaches returned him to play following a concussion in October 2006.
Adler Giersch attorneys Richard Adler, Melissa Carter, and Arthur Leritz secured a settlement on behalf of the family of Kenney Bui, a 17-year-old Evergreen High School football player who died in October 2015 after being permitted to return to play following an earlier concussion, in a wrongful death case against Highline Public Schools and the physician who cleared him.
