Shruti Modi

Shruti Modi is an associate attorney at Armstrong Lee & Baker LLP in Houston, where she represents individuals who have been seriously injured or killed due to negligence. A first-generation American whose parents immigrated from India, Shruti has recovered over $12 million in settlements and judgments as lead counsel within her first two years of practice.

Shruti earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Arizona State University and her Juris Doctor magna cum laude from South Texas College of Law Houston, graduating in the top 10 percent of her class. During law school she served as Senior Articles Editor of the South Texas Law Review, was inducted into the Order of the Lytae and Phi Delta Phi Legal Honor Society, received a CALI Award in Amateur Sports Law, and participated in the Presidential Fellows Program.

Shruti is a graduate of the Trial Lawyers College and is admitted to the Texas and New Mexico State Bars as well as federal district courts in the Southern, Northern, and Eastern Districts of Texas. She serves as Vice President of the South Asian Bar Association of Houston's Gala Committee and as a Houston Bar Association Ambassador (2025-2027).
