
About Kamilah Moore
Kamilah Victoria Moore joined the firm after a career spanning entertainment law and human rights advocacy, including associate roles at Pierce Law Group in Beverly Hills and commercial litigation work at Loeb & Loeb. From 2021 to 2023 she chaired the California Reparations Task Force, leading production of its landmark reports on redress for African American descendants of enslaved people. She earned her J.D. from Columbia Law School, where she was a member of the Columbia Human Rights Law Review, an LL.M. from the University of Amsterdam focused on global reparatory justice, and her undergraduate degree from UCLA, where as chair of the Afrikan Student Union she helped drive the UC system's roughly $30 million divestment from private prison companies.
