About Jim Wilson
Jim Wilson was born in Tampa in 1966 and raised in Dade City, Florida. He graduated with honors from the University of Alabama in 1988, where he served as President of the Interfraternity Council and President of the Jasons Senior Mens Honorary. He earned his law degree from the University of Florida College of Law in 1991, where he was a member of the Moot Court Team, and was admitted to the Florida Bar that same year. He began his career in Tampa handling insurance defense and personal injury cases, then returned to Dade City as a partner at Johnson, Auvil, Brock and Wilson, before spending over 11 years at Morgan and Morgan's Tampa office. He joined Brooks Law Group's Tampa office to continue representing accident victims. He has tried cases in Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, Manatee, and Sarasota Counties, has several published appellate decisions, and has argued before the Second District Court of Appeal. He holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell and is a member of the Florida Justice Association and the Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers Association.
