About Robert Sousa

Robert Sousa has been practicing law in Connecticut for over thirty-five years, during which he has devoted his practice to workers’ compensation law. In addition to his role as Managing Partner for the last thirty years at Sousa & Minogue, LLC in Shelton, he joins the Carter Mario Injury Lawyers as Co-Counsel. He has represented and obtained favorable settlements for thousands of injured workers. Attorney Sousa has held elective office serving as the First Selectman (Mayor) for the Town of Orange from 1995-1999. He was the first Democrat elected in the history of the town in its 173-year history. After serving two terms, he chose not to seek re-election so that he could solely focus his efforts on representing injured workers in Connecticut. After obtaining his B.A. in Political Science from Northeastern University, he earned his J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and the U.S. District Court of Connecticut. In addition, Attorney Sousa is a proud veteran of the United States Army where he was a commissioned military intelligence officer. One of his daughters practices as an Attorney with him at Sousa & Minogue, LLC. He and his wife currently reside in Milford.
