John Baker

John Baker is a partner at Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers in Virginia, with approximately 14+ years of legal practice. His work covers motor vehicle accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, pedestrian injuries, premises liability, catastrophic injury, brain/spinal injury, slip and fall, construction accidents, and related personal injury matters.

A Norfolk native, Baker spent seven years with an insurance defense firm before joining Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers in early 2018.

He earned his B.A. cum laude from Hampden-Sydney College in 2006 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2010.

He is admitted to the Virginia State Bar (2010) and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia (2010).

Baker is a member of the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys, the Norfolk & Portsmouth Bar Association, the Virginia State Bar, and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association. He is a former member of the James Kent American Inn of Court.
