Michael DeMayo

Michael A. DeMayo, Esq. is the CEO and Managing Partner of DeMayo Law Offices, LLP, which he established on September 1, 1992. The firm has grown to over 140 legal professionals with three offices in Charlotte, Hickory, and Monroe, North Carolina. His team has helped over 132,000 individual clients and their families recover over $1 billion in total verdicts and settlements.

DeMayo's practice covers personal injury, workers' compensation, products liability, automobile and tractor-trailer accidents, catastrophic personal injuries, mass tort cases involving medical devices and dangerous pharmaceutical products, chemical exposure, brain injury, and wrongful death.

He is rated AV Preeminent (5.0 of 5.0) by Martindale-Hubbell — the highest professional rating achievable — and has been named to the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 for 12 consecutive years and to the American Association of Trial Lawyers Top 100 for nine consecutive years. He has also been named to the Nation's Top One Percent by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel and was a Charlotte Business Journal Top 40 Under 40 Businessman in 2003. He is a founding member of the Mecklenburg Trial Lawyers Association and is active in the NCAJ President's Club, NCAJ Leaders Forum, the American Association for Justice (where he chairs the Marketing Committee), and the Million Dollar and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forums.

He earned his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law at Chapel Hill in 1990 and his undergraduate degree cum laude from Wake Forest University in 1987. He is admitted to the State Bar of North Carolina, the U.S. District Courts for the Western, Middle, and Eastern Districts of North Carolina, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
