JJ Burns

JJ Burns has built a national reputation as a truck crash trial lawyer, representing victims' families in cases involving driver fatigue, reckless hiring, poor training, defective equipment, and negligent maintenance. He pursues claims not only against trucking companies but also against shippers, freight brokers, double-brokering carriers, and logistics providers. JJ is Vice Chair of the American Association for Justice Trucking Litigation Group and an adjunct professor at UMKC Law School, where he teaches an Introduction to Personal Injury Litigation course annually. He has presented at seminars in 15 states and has been published in the Journal of Trucking Litigation, the American Bar Association publications, and the Michigan Law Review. He is licensed in both Missouri and Illinois.
