Christopher W. Wood is the 2023 ABOTA (American Board of Trial Advocates) Trial Lawyer of the Year for the Sacramento Chapter. He has also recently been invited to be a member of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. Mr. Wood has spent his entire legal career representing clients in serious and complex injury cases. He has tried cases all over the State of California involving personal injury, product liability, wrongful death, brain injury as well as spinal cord injury. Christopher W. Wood grew up outside of Redding, California where he worked for his father in the construction industry. He knew he wanted to be a trial lawyer at the age of 17 when his mother sat as a juror on a trial in Shasta County. From that day forward, Mr. Wood has dedicated his life to honing his trial skills for the benefit of his clients. Notable Results: $21 Million Settlement in Fresno County against Farm for a woman who was involved in a farming/vehicle injury case resulting in spinal cord injury in 2023.; $12.4 Million Settlement in Sutter County for negligent farming leading to motor vehicle collision on adjacent roadway wrongful death case.; $7 Million Settlement in Nevada County for an E.coli case where children using a private lake were exposed to E.coli, several of which contracted HUS.; $6 Million Verdict in Placer County against MV Transportation for a client who suffered a brain injury after being dropped off a wheelchair lift.; $5.5 Million Verdict in Sacramento County for client who tripped and fell as a result of a dangerous sidewalk.;
