About Steven M. Campora

Steve began his career defending large corporations in personal injury and construction cases. However, for the last 18 years, he has had the honor and privilege of representing injured clients or heirs in personal injury and wrongful death cases arising from auto, trucking, and construction accidents, as well as product failures. Steven Campora came to the firm as an associate in July of 2002. In December of 2008, Mr. Campora became a partner, and in January of 2012, became our latest name partner, making our firm Dreyer Babich Buccola Wood Campora, LLP. A Dedicated Work Ethic from the Start Steve grew up in the foothills of California and was a high school and college football player. He attended the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. He is a graduate of California State University, Sacramento, and the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law, where he graduated with honors. He credits his success in law to the lessons his parents taught him when he was young. "My dad had been a professional football player and was a college football coach. My mom was a librarian. Competing, working hard and studying hard were a given in my home when I was growing up. I think those traits translate well to the practice of law and benefit my clients," Steve has told us. A Record of Success For 10 years, Steve has been AV-Preeminent® rated,* the highest rating, through Martindale-Hubbell®. In 2010 he was named Advocate of the Year along with his partner Robert Buccola for their work on behalf of injury victims. Steve has consistently been recognized by Sacramento Magazine as a "Top Attorney" in Sacramento and has been selected for inclusion in California Super Lawyers® Top 100 Lawyers in Northern California in each of the last six years. In 2010 Steve was a finalist for the Consumer Attorneys of California's Trial Lawyer of the Year, where he was recognized as the runner-up.
