About William R. Finkle

Associate Will Finkle was raised in Southern California but moved to Berkeley to begin his undergraduate career, then landed in picturesque Monterey to complete his degree in French Studies, minoring in mathematics and linguistics. Will also attended cooking school in San Francisco and has cooked in some of the top restaurants in New York, France, and San Francisco. He later worked as a software engineer at Microsoft and Cardinal Health/Pyxis. Will switched gears and built a successful following as a personal trainer in Palm Springs. The pandemic set Will off on a journey, decades in the making, to a career in law. Will started studying law full time at the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2022. During his time at McGeorge, Will was consistently in the top 15% of his class and admits he loved almost every minute of law school and studying for the Bar exam. He spent his Spring of 2025 final law school semester externing full-time for Federal Magistrate Judge Allison Claire of the Eastern District of California working on prisoner civil rights and habeas corpus petitions, and realized how much civil litigation interested him after observing scores of proceedings in federal court. After passing the California State Bar, Will began as an Associate Attorney with Dreyer Babich Buccola Wood Campora, grateful for the mentorship and tutelage of the many distinguished and experienced trial attorneys at the firm. Will heard a judge speak on her retirement from the bench who advised young attorneys, "Now, go do justice." That is what excites Will about the law, bringing justice where it is lacking and holding those responsible for causing harm accountable, as the torts system is designed to work. When Will isn't conducting research, finalizing discovery, or drafting motions he can be found on a long-distance bike ride, on a pair of skis in the Sierras, cooking up a storm in his kitchen, or working on the daily NYT Crossword and Wordle.
