About Robert Eglet
Robert T. Eglet is one of the most accomplished trial lawyers in the United States and the driving force behind Eglet Law's nationally recognized results. As lead trial counsel in the firm's major cases, he has secured more than $7 billion in verdicts and settlements for victims of corporate negligence, product defects, catastrophic injuries, and mass disasters. With a career win rate of over 98% across hundreds of civil jury trials, Robert has obtained the largest injury verdict in America on three separate occasions. His record-setting results include a $3.08 billion verdict in a water contamination case, the largest product liability verdict in Nevada history; $1.3 billion in opioid-related settlements for the State of Nevada, among the highest per capita in the country; $1.2 billion in verdicts stemming from the largest medically caused Hepatitis C outbreak in U.S. history; and an $800 million settlement on behalf of victims of the 1 October Las Vegas mass shooting. In the aftermath of the 2008 Hepatitis C outbreak, Robert targeted the pharmaceutical companies behind the contaminated drug rather than clinics and doctors, bypassing Nevada's medical malpractice caps and securing four major verdicts that led to nationwide healthcare reforms, including changes to CDC guidelines and pharmaceutical packaging protocols. Robert is a member of the Inner Circle of Advocates, limited to the top 100 plaintiff trial lawyers in the United States, and holds the highest AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell. He has been named Trial Lawyer of the Year twice by the Nevada Justice Association (2005, 2012), National Trial Lawyer of the Year twice by the National Trial Lawyers (2013, 2026), and inducted into the Trial Lawyer Hall of Fame (2026). He has delivered over 60 jury verdicts exceeding $1 million, more than any other trial attorney in Nevada history. Robert serves on the Board of Regents of the University of the Pacific and has funded scholarships and the Eglet Center for Advocacy and Dispute Resolution at McGeorge School of Law.
