Marilena DiSilvio

Marilena DiSilvio is Of Counsel to Elk & Elk, bringing decades of experience in medical negligence, birth injury, wrongful death, and personal injury. A former registered nurse, she is also an experienced trial lawyer who has tried more than 50 medical malpractice cases involving catastrophic injuries. She previously practiced at Elk & Elk and at a Cleveland defense firm where she chaired the Health Care Law Practice Group. Best Lawyers named her 2026 Lawyer of the Year in Cleveland for Medical Malpractice and 2024 Lawyer of the Year in Cleveland for Personal Injury. She holds an AV Preeminent Martindale-Hubbell rating and has consistently appeared on Ohio Super Lawyers top attorney lists. She served as President of the Ohio Women's Bar Foundation, is a trustee of LifeAct, and teaches as an adjunct professor at CSU College of Law. She graduated summa cum laude from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1994, where she served as Managing Editor of the Cleveland State Law Review.
