Harold C. Staley, Jr., Esq. is a Partner at Elrod Pope Accident & Injury Attorneys, with approximately 25 years of legal experience. He grew up in Moncks Corner, South Carolina, taught school in Nashville, Tennessee for three years after college, and later worked as an Assistant Solicitor for the 16th Judicial Circuit before joining Elrod Pope in 2002. He became a Partner in 2007.
Staley is a past President of the York County Bar Association (2005-2006), a member of the South Carolina Association for Justice and the South Carolina Bar Law Related Education Committee, and served on the South Carolina House of Delegates from 2004 to 2015. He coached mock trial teams at Fort Mill High School (2002-2009) and Berkeley High School (1999-2001), and serves on the Pilgrim's Inn Board of Directors. He holds the Martindale-Hubbell Distinguished Peer Rating and was named Law Related Education Lawyer of the Year in 2002.
He earned his Juris Doctor from Cooley Law School, his Master of Science from Middle Tennessee State University, and his Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Carolina in 1993. He is admitted to the State Bars of South Carolina and North Carolina, the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
