About Edward McNelis
Edward McNelis is a trial attorney who has focused on medical malpractice cases since 1993, having tried more than 100 cases to verdict while representing both patients and healthcare providers. He has been listed in Best Lawyers since 2015 and has been named among Virginia's Legal Elite for multiple consecutive years. Before joining Emroch & Kilduff, Mr. McNelis was a shareholder and co-leader of the healthcare litigation group at a prominent Virginia healthcare litigation firm. He also served as a Judge Advocate for 27 years in the U.S. Army, retiring as a Colonel after serving as the State Judge Advocate General for Virginia. He has litigated hundreds of multimillion-dollar cases in Virginia and in state and federal courts nationwide. His practice focuses on medical malpractice, civil rights cases (including cases involving prisoners and inmates), and personal injury. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania (1989), Virginia (1992), and West Virginia (2001), as well as numerous federal courts.
