
About Richard Dykstra
Richard Dykstra has focused on insurance coverage and insurance company good faith claims handling for over 35 years and has been involved in many of the noteworthy Washington cases setting standards for insurer conduct. He represents policyholders including large and small businesses, law firms, and medical professionals. Richard was admitted in Washington state and federal courts in 1973 and Alaska in 1987. He received his B.A. in History from the University of Washington in 1970 and his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law in 1973. He is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell and has been selected for Washington Super Lawyers annually since 2000 and for Best Lawyers in America from 2009 to 2025 in insurance law. He joined Friedman Rubin in 2011.
