About John Lee
John Lee co-founded Fuicelli & Lee Injury Lawyers in 2008. Prior to forming the firm, he worked as a prosecutor in the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office, handling complex criminal matters including first degree murder, tax evasion, and organized crime. Since co-founding the firm, Lee has tried cases to verdict across Colorado on behalf of clients injured in car crashes and other accidents. He has conducted more than 100 trials and handled thousands of cases. Governor John Hickenlooper appointed him in 2016 to serve on the First Judicial District Nominating Commission, which reviews applicants for judicial vacancies in Jefferson and Gilpin counties. 5280 Magazine has recognized him as a Super Lawyer multiple times, including from 2019 through 2024.
Notable case results
A Denver jury awarded $19.75 million to six bystanders shot by a Denver Police officer who fired into a crowd while pursuing an armed suspect in the LoDo neighborhood in July 2022.
