About Diana Carnemolla
Diana Carnemolla is recognized as one of New York's Top Verdicts & Settlements lawyers, earning distinction for her outstanding representation and case resolutions. She stands among only three women elected as equity partner in the firm's 100-year history and has been named a Super Lawyer in the New York Metro area since 2016. Recently, Forbes listed her among their "Best Car Accident Lawyers in NYC 2023."
Before law school, Diana was hired at GG&C in December 1989, prior to completing her Bachelor of Science from college in under three and a half years. For three years, she worked with trial attorneys preparing cases, depositions, and discovery. As a first-generation American from a South American immigrant family, she aspired to become an attorney to help individuals who might not otherwise understand their legal rights, particularly personal injury victims. She uniquely pursued her law degree through evening classes while maintaining full-time employment at GG&C.
Upon admission to practice in New York and New Jersey, Diana joined as associate attorney. She is known for meticulous case preparation and thorough deposition work, especially in medical malpractice cases. Clients value her for devoting necessary time to ensure they understand proceedings before depositions. She became partner in 2010 and equity partner in 2016.
As second chair trial attorney, Diana contributed to an $85 million New York County Supreme Court jury verdict for a pedestrian struck by a bus—the largest verdict of its kind in New York City. Her settlements include $8.5 million for obstetric monitoring failure; $8.25 million for myocardial infarction misdiagnosis; $8 million for wrongful death from drunk driving; $7 million for Cesarean section negligence; and $4.9 million for pedestrian bus injuries.
Clients praise her compassion and support. She maintains "composure" while helping clients through stressful litigation. Diana states: "I take pride in being a zealous advocate for my clients, I see it as part of my representative responsibility to treat my clients with respect and dignity."
