About John Griffith

John Griffith founded GriffithLaw in 1998 after spending the early part of his career as an insurance claims adjuster. That experience showed him how often insurance companies broke their coverage promises to injured people, which led him to attend Nashville School of Law and commit his practice to representing personal injury victims. Over more than 25 years he has built a reputation for staying personally connected with clients, maintaining contact long after cases close. He grew up in New Johnsonville in Humphreys County, Tennessee, played football at Vanderbilt University as a walk-on safety and cornerback in the SEC, and later trained at Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyers College. He served as President of the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association in 2020-2021 and has been recognized as a Super Lawyer every year from 2019 to 2024. Outside the office he plays guitar, practices jiu-jitsu, and works his farm.
