About Joseph Sorce

Joseph P. Sorce grew up in Chicago as the first American-born child of a physician who emigrated from Italy after World War II. He attended DePaul Academy and DePaul University before serving two years in the United States Army. He earned his J.D. from The John Marshall Law School and was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1987. Joe joined Goldberg Weisman Cairo in 1990 and became a partner in 1996. An accomplished trial lawyer, he has handled personal injury and workers' compensation cases for more than three decades, securing an $8.3 million verdict for an injured bricklayer and a $6 million verdict for the family of an electrician killed at a CTA substation. He holds the highest peer rating from Martindale-Hubbell and has been named to the National Top 100 Trial Lawyers and Illinois Leading Lawyers. He was selected to Super Lawyers from 2014 through 2021. He is also licensed to practice in Indiana.
