About Alva Caine

Growing up on a cattle farm in Safford, Alabama, Alva Caine appreciated the value of hard work from a young age. When his father died while his siblings were away at college, Alva learned firsthand how a sudden loss could change a family forever. He was commissioned a Lieutenant, serving as an aviator and Army helicopter instructor pilot, and was later promoted to Captain while stationed at Camp Casey, Korea with the 7th Aviation Battalion of the 7th Infantry Division. Upon returning to civilian life, he graduated cum laude from Cumberland School of Law and obtained his LL.M. from Harvard University Law School in 1971. Alva has been with Hare Wynn in some capacity ever since and serves as Of Counsel for the firm. Over a decades-long career, he has represented hundreds of clients across a wide range of areas, from product liability to catastrophic injury. He served as secretary and then president of the Alabama Trial Lawyers Board of Governors and as president of the Alabama State Bar Association from 1989 to 1990.
