George DeVera

George DeVera, Esq. is an Associate Attorney at Herrman & Herrman, P.L.L.C., specializing in personal injury law. He brings nearly two decades of litigation experience focused on medical malpractice, legal malpractice, negligence, and wrongful death cases across state and federal courts.

DeVera has tried more than 50 cases to verdict and successfully mediated millions of dollars in claims. He has extensive civil appellate experience before the 4th and 13th Texas Courts of Appeals, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the Texas Supreme Court. He was nominated for the 2010 Texas Super Lawyers Young Rising Stars edition by Thomson Reuters.

DeVera is a member of the Corpus Christi Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, and the Bar Association for the Fifth Circuit. Deeply rooted in Corpus Christi, he was raised there and attended Mary Carroll High School. Outside the firm, he is an accomplished musician and active in community service, including dog rescue and literacy programs.

He earned his J.D. from Baylor University School of Law in 2004 with a General Civil Litigation concentration, where he received the Charles S. Petty Award in Law and Medicine. He earned his B.A. in Philosophy with honors from Austin College in Sherman, Texas in 1999. He is admitted to the State Bar of Texas, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Western Districts of Texas, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
