About Craig Kelley

Craig Kelley grew up in Council Bluffs, Iowa, around auto service stations and race tracks. His family owned Sunset Speedway in Omaha from his ninth grade onward. He graduated magna cum laude with a business degree from Northwest Missouri State University in 1983 and cum laude from Creighton University School of Law in 1986, where he competed on the International Moot Court Board. He joined the predecessor Inserra firm in 1986 right after law school and has practiced there for nearly 40 years, starting with smaller injury cases and the firm's railroad-employee injury practice. An early landmark case involved representing an 18-month-old boy paralyzed at a railroad crossing where his mother and two sisters were killed. That result made Craig a partner and gave rise to the Inserra and Kelley name. His practice now emphasizes all areas of personal injury law with a large focus on vehicle, motorcycle, and bicycle cases. The firm serves as designated legal counsel for the Harley Owners Group and most motorcycle chapters in Nebraska and western Iowa. Craig is also active in complex drug and medical device litigation on a national multi-district level. He is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell and Superb by AVVO.
