About Adele Jacobs

Attorney Jacobs was born and raised in Connecticut. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, and went on to receive her Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City. She is admitted to practice law in the state courts of New York and Connecticut, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of Connecticut. Early in her legal career, Attorney Jacobs served as outside counsel for State Farm Insurance Company, followed by staff counsel roles at The Home Insurance Company and Chubb Insurance Group in New York City. In 1992, she returned to Connecticut and established her own law practice, dedicated to representing individuals who had been injured. Her prior experience inside the insurance industry has given her a strategic advantage in negotiating and resolving cases on behalf of her clients. For over three decades, Attorney Jacobs has been committed to advocating for the rights of the injured. She has secured numerous settlements in excess of one million dollars, and her detailed, persistent approach has led to highly favorable results both in and out of the courtroom. In cases that proceeded to trial, her clients have consistently achieved verdicts that exceeded pre-trial offers. In addition to her legal practice, Attorney Jacobs is actively involved in her community. She proudly continues her family’s legacy of charitable giving and civic engagement. She also serves the judicial system as a Court-Appointed Attorney Trial Referee and Court Arbitrator, helping to resolve disputes outside of trial. Further extending her skills, she has completed over 160 hours of training as a certified divorce mediator. Education Yeshiva University Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, New York, New York J.D.
