About Michaela Canterbury
Michaela Kelley Canterbury has been practicing law for more than 30 years, focusing primarily on insurance litigation and personal injury cases. She is also known for the successful litigation of sexual assault, workplace harassment, medical malpractice, and other serious physical injuries, representing clients across south-central Alaska in court, arbitrations, and mediations. Michaela received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Philosophy from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and her Juris Doctor from Gonzaga University Law School in Spokane, Washington. She is also a graduate of Trial Lawyers College, which provides training in litigation methods used by top trial attorneys across the country. Michaela has served as a volunteer moderator and teacher for the Anchorage Youth Court and the Chugiak High School mock trial program. She is a past President of the Alaska Association of Trial Lawyers and has served on the board to advance the professional development of its members. She is also a member of the Alaska and Anchorage Bar Associations and serves on the Lawyers Assistance Committee of the Alaska Bar Association. Michaela is also a published author: her debut memoir, Sister Siren, details her experience as the sister of someone dealing with addiction and reached #1 New Release in Drug Dependency and Recovery on Amazon.
