William Lee

William J. Lee, JD, MS, FACE, FACHDM, is a nationally recognized attorney-scientist practicing mass tort, class action, and complex litigation at Kershaw Talley Barlow, where he leads the firm's scientific practice group. He works at the intersection of epidemiology, law, and policy, collaborating with leading experts and law firms to develop scientific and medical evidence and performing epidemiological and biostatistical analyses as an expert in federal and state trial, appellate, and Supreme Court litigations. William has been elected a Fellow of the American College of Epidemiology (FACE) and a Fellow of the American College of Health Data Management (FACHDM), and serves on the American College of Epidemiology's Ethics and Policy Committee as President of its Research and Education Foundation. He has also been appointed to the Board of Directors of the International Network for Epidemiology in Policy, named among America's Best in Medicine, received an Excellence in Medicine Award, and in 2024 was recognized among the nation's 40 Under 40 Leaders in Health by the National Minority Quality Forum. He graduated with honors from Emory University School of Law and was inducted into the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society. Prior to law school, he earned a Master of Science in Chronic Disease Epidemiology from Yale University and a Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology from Duke University. He has also completed a Public Health Law Program at the CDC and conducted research at Vanderbilt University, Dartmouth, and the National Center for Patient Safety. William is admitted to practice in Georgia and before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and the U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation.
