His service earned him the Air Force Commendation Medal and two Achievement Medals, recognition of the discipline, integrity, and steadiness under pressure that he now brings to the practice of law. He went on to spend nearly fifteen years with the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, rising from Corrections Officer to Program Administrator for Legal Services, where he managed the department's small-claims docket for matters originating from tens of thousands of individuals.

Determined to serve in the courtroom, John earned his Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School in 2023 while working full-time, building on the Bachelor of Arts he earned magna cum laude from Rowan University. He then served as an Assistant Prosecutor in Delaware County, where he handled both misdemeanor and felony cases, including juvenile matters, and was responsible for developing and presenting cases to the Grand Jury. That trial and advocacy experience gives John a sharp, courtroom-tested edge that benefits the injury clients he now represents.
