Matthew Healey

Matthew S. "Matt" Healey is a Partner at the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin and a member of the firm's Workers' Compensation Department. He joined the firm in 2015 and is a North Carolina State Bar Board Certified Specialist in Workers' Compensation Law.

After graduating law school, Healey began his career at one of the largest corporate defense firms in North Carolina, but decided he wanted to represent injured workers rather than deny their benefits and transitioned to plaintiff workers' compensation practice.

Healey earned his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of Notre Dame and his Juris Doctor magna cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law.

His recognitions include Best Lawyers in America for Workers' Compensation Law every year since 2013, including Best Lawyers Workers' Compensation "Lawyer of the Year" for Raleigh in 2015, 2017, and 2022. He was named a North Carolina Super Lawyers Rising Star (2010-2013) and Super Lawyer (2014-2016).
