Michael Roessler

Michael F. Roessler is a Partner at the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin, focused on workers' compensation law. He joined the firm in 2015, bringing 5+ years of prior legal experience.

Roessler earned his Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science (double major) from Queens University of Charlotte in 1999 and his Juris Doctor with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law in Chapel Hill in 2008. During law school, he was a member of the Broun National Trial Team (national quarterfinalist, 2007), the Holderness Moot Court National Team (2006), and served as an articles editor for the North Carolina Law Review.

He is admitted to practice in North Carolina and South Carolina and is a North Carolina State Bar Board Certified Specialist in Workers' Compensation Law. His memberships include North Carolina Advocates for Justice (Executive Committee, Workers' Compensation Section), the North Carolina State Bar, and the South Carolina State Bar.

His honors include selection to Best Lawyers in America for Workers' Compensation Law - Claimants (2022-2026).

He has authored multiple law review articles in North Carolina, Charlotte, and Southwestern Law Reviews, and co-authored a chapter on fund disbursements in Personal Injury Practice in North Carolina (2015).
