Walter Wood

Walter McBrayer Wood is a Partner at the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin and head of the firm's South Carolina operations. He joined the firm in 2017 and pioneered its expansion into South Carolina, opening the Greenville office in 2020.

A Greenville native who spent most of his childhood in Miami, Wood has over two decades of personal injury experience and has successfully handled hundreds of cases, including multiple million-dollar recoveries.

Wood earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law.

He has been selected for the 2026 South Carolina Lawyers Weekly Personal Injury Power List and named to the 2024 SC Lawyers Weekly Leader in the Law list. He has been named to the Super Lawyers Rising Stars lists for both North Carolina and South Carolina multiple times and holds a Martindale-Hubbell Preeminent rating.

He is a member of the South Carolina Association for Justice and the Greenville County Bar Association.
