About Ben Lavoie
Ben Lavoie brings more than two decades of civil litigation experience to Meshbesher and Spence. He concentrates on personal injury, medical malpractice, workers' compensation, FELA and FRSA railroad claims, and Section 1983 civil rights cases. Before law school he worked as a bartender and an English teacher abroad, experience he credits with helping him communicate legal concepts clearly to clients and juries. He holds a B.A. from the University of Minnesota (2000) and a J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law at Illinois Institute of Technology (2004). He has been repeatedly named a Minnesota Super Lawyer and has secured recoveries including a $4 million medical malpractice result and a $2.5 million wrongful death settlement.
