About Sam Steward
Sam Steward is a partner at Meshbesher and Spence focusing on workers' compensation, PERA disability, MSRS disability, and personal injury, with an emphasis on injured first responders. Her practice was shaped in part by her husband, a former Minneapolis police officer who suffered a disabling injury on duty. She successfully argued before the Minnesota Court of Appeals regarding employer health care obligations for officers and has testified in legislative committees on behalf of injured first responders. She co-founded Heroes Helping Heroes, a 501(c)(3) organization supporting Minnesota's first responders. She earned a B.A. from the University of Kansas (2010) and a J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law (2014).
