Joseph Tunstall

Joseph P. Tunstall III is a trial attorney and name partner at O'Malley Tunstall PC in North Carolina. His practice focuses on personal injury (car accidents and falls), workers' compensation, Social Security disability, and civil litigation. He has tried more than 100 cases through verdict in the Superior Courts of North Carolina on behalf of seriously injured clients.

Tunstall has handled cases at both federal and state levels, including arguments before the North Carolina Supreme Court. Throughout his career, he has consistently represented injured individuals rather than corporations or insurance companies in Eastern North Carolina.

He earned his B.A. in History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and his Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2000. He joined Keel O'Malley, LLP in Tarboro in 2000, became a partner in 2006 when the firm was renamed Keel O'Malley Tunstall, PLLC, and practices in both the Raleigh and Tarboro offices.

He serves on the Board of Governors of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice and is the past chair of its Auto Torts section. He was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Personal Injury Law in 2012 and 2013, and is a member of The National Trial Lawyers Top 100.
