Michael C. Jainchill has practiced law for more than 40 years and has been named a Top 10 Attorney in Connecticut by Super Lawyers. Born and raised in Connecticut, he has successfully tried dozens of court and jury trials to verdict and has appeared before the Connecticut Supreme Court and Appellate Court on many occasions. His cases have included representation of former NBA star Manute Bol (settled for $1.2 million after being nearly killed in a taxi cab crash caused by an intoxicated driver), representation of Ray Guillimette, an Elvis Presley tribute artist who suffered an above-the-knee amputation after a drunk driving crash, and a recent $11 million settlement in a motor vehicle accident involving traumatic brain injury. He also represented the estate of University of Connecticut student Carlee Wines, struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver on the UConn campus in 2007. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America every year since 2001, is a Certified Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, and is a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He is co-author of 'Connecticut Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Coverage: A Guide,' which has been described by the Connecticut Supreme Court as the leading treatise in this area of the law.
