About Mallam Prior
Mallam Prior has dedicated his career to representing clients in civil litigation including medical malpractice, employment law, and personal injury. Before becoming a trial lawyer, Mal graduated from Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah (B.S., Pre-Medicine Neuroscience, 2015), then returned to his home state of Idaho and graduated from the University of Idaho College of Law (J.D., 2019). After law school, Mal was a trial lawyer at an insurance defense firm in Boise where he routinely represented one of Idaho's largest hospitals in medical malpractice claims before the Idaho State Board of Medicine and in state and federal court. While at that firm, Mal also tried a case as co-counsel where he successfully defended an international appliance manufacturer against product liability claims and obtained an award of attorney fees in excess of $400,000. He served as Chairperson of the Health Law Section of the Idaho State Bar (2022-2023) and Vice Chairperson (2021-2022), and attended the 2022 USLAW NETWORK Trucking Boot Camp at Werner Enterprises in Omaha, Nebraska, an intensive two-day conference on transportation law and the trucking industry.
