About Sims Weymuller

Sims grew up in Seattle and attended Roosevelt High School. After graduating with honors from Kenyon College, he worked for the Public Interest Research Groups in Washington, DC for several years before attending the University of Washington School of Law. For his entire career, Sims has litigated professional negligence, product liability, and catastrophic injury cases in both state and federal courts. His medical malpractice cases include birth trauma, delayed diagnosis, and surgical error matters. He has a particular interest in brain and spinal cord injuries and served on the Board of Directors of the Brain Injury Alliance of Washington. As the parent of a traumatic brain injury survivor, his empathy for clients is deeply personal. He is a former chair of the WSBA Character and Fitness Board, the WSBA Lawyers Fund for Client Protection Board, and the WSBA Professionalism Committee. He also teaches trial advocacy as an adjunct faculty member at UW Law.
