About Chuck James
Chuck James, II is a native of Mobile, Alabama, and earned his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law in 2002. After a brief stint as a criminal prosecutor in the Mobile County District Attorney's office, he joined the national Cochran firm, where he worked alongside Jock Smith and was involved in cases that produced a $1.26 billion verdict for clients. He formed his own firm before co-founding Serious Injury Law Group with Gerald Brooks in 2013. James has obtained numerous six- and seven-figure verdicts and settlements for plaintiffs in personal injury cases. He has served as past president of the Montgomery County Trial Lawyers Association and the Capital City Lawyers Association, and has served on the Character and Fitness Committee and Diversity Committee of the Alabama State Bar Association. He is also a frequent speaker on CLE topics including rules of evidence, trial strategy, and ethics.
