About Dennis K. Wallin
Dennis Wallin was born in Tucumcari, New Mexico and raised in Alamogordo and Silver City, New Mexico. He comes from a long line of ranchers, farmers, and contractors throughout the state. He obtained his law degree in 1977 from the University of New Mexico School of Law and was admitted to practice that same year. He began his legal career at a small local firm before setting up his own private practice, and worked in conjunction with The Spence Law Firm for nearly 30 years before becoming a partner, practicing in Albuquerque, New Mexico with the Spence Law Firm NM, LLC. Throughout his career, Dennis has represented injured victims and their families in Federal Courts throughout New Mexico, recovering millions of dollars in personal injury and wrongful death cases. He co-led counsel in the groundbreaking Sears v. Nissan Motor case, which established precedent for damages awarded to surviving loved ones of wrongfully killed individuals. He has also obtained multiple settlements in truck versus automobile cases ranging from $4.5 million to $9 million, and recently settled a distracted driver wrongful death case for $6 million. Dennis has taken on cases in every New Mexico State District Court, the Federal District of New Mexico, and the Tenth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals.
