After law school, Beth clerked for the Idaho Supreme Court for one year and then for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit for one year, before working at a small nonprofit environmental law firm in Boise. She ultimately moved back to Jackson and joined The Spence Law Firm as an associate.
