About David Dickey
David D. Dickey is a U.S. Navy veteran and trial attorney at The Yerrid Law Firm with extensive experience in personal injury, professional negligence, wrongful death, and commercial litigation. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science (1981) and a Juris Doctorate with honors (1992), both from the University of Florida. Before law school, Dickey served as a Naval Aviator with Fighter Squadron Two (VF-2), flying the F-14 Tomcat as a RIO, logging over 1,000 flight hours and 250 carrier arrested landings. In 1986, he graduated at the top of his class from the Naval Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN). From 1992 to 2006, he practiced with the law firm of de la Parte & Gilbert before joining The Yerrid Law Firm. In 2006, he was part of the trial team that secured Florida's largest medical malpractice verdict and the nation's largest civil jury verdict that year. Since joining the firm, he has participated in twelve verdicts or settlements of $1 million or more. He is admitted to the Florida Bar, the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.
