About Evan Gilliam
Evan C. Gilliam is an Associate Attorney at The Yerrid Law Firm handling catastrophic personal injury, complex medical malpractice, and wrongful death cases. He began as a law clerk at the firm in his first year of law school. He earned his B.A. cum laude from the University of Cincinnati, where he also played on the baseball team for four years and was part of the 2019 squad that clinched the school's first NCAA Tournament bid since 1974. He received his J.D. from Stetson University College of Law (ranked No. 1 in the U.S. for trial advocacy), where he earned the Latham, Luna, Eden and Beaudine Book Award for the highest grade in Trial Advocacy, the Victor O. Wehle Award for excellence in Trial Advocacy, competed on the school's dispute resolution team nationally, and served as a Teaching Assistant for trial advocacy courses. Just five months after admission to the Florida Bar, Gilliam was part of the trial team that obtained a $30 million jury verdict in a complex medical malpractice case involving sepsis. Since then, he has obtained numerous seven- and eight-figure results for clients. He has been recognized by The National Trial Lawyers Association as a Top 40 Under 40 Civil Plaintiff Lawyer and by Best Lawyers as a Ones to Watch in America.
