Paul Doherty

Paul F. Doherty is the Managing Partner of Ven Johnson Law's Detroit office.

Doherty is admitted to the State Bar of Michigan. He has been appointed as Plaintiff's Liaison Counsel for the State of Michigan in Federal Multi-District Litigation involving defective medical products and selected for Plaintiff's Steering Committee in Wayne County Circuit Court consolidated cases.

Doherty's honors include an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, Michigan Super Lawyer status (2006, 2008-present), Michigan Lawyers Weekly Hall of Fame (2026), Crain's Detroit Notable Litigators & Trial Attorneys (2025), and Michigan Lawyers Weekly Leaders in the Law (2023). He is a past President of the Catholic Lawyers Society.
