Tom Methvin

Tom Methvin is the Managing Attorney of Beasley Allen and has led the firm through decades of complex national litigation. He began his career at Beasley Allen representing victims of consumer fraud, many of whom were illiterate or underprivileged. Under his leadership, the firm has secured billions in verdicts and settlements. He served as lead attorney in Carlisle v. Whirlpool, which produced the largest predatory lending verdict in American history at $581 million in Hale County, Alabama. Tom served as president of the Alabama State Bar from 2009 to 2010, focusing on Access to Justice. He graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in corporate finance and earned his law degree from Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham in 1988.
