Jennifer Modell

Jennifer Modell is an attorney at Berger & Green. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago in 1985 and her Juris Doctor from Northwestern University School of Law in 1991. She began her legal career at the public defender's office in New York City, where she gained extensive criminal defense experience, before expanding her practice to include civil rights and immigration law. In 2007 she relocated to Pittsburgh and joined Berger & Green, developing her Social Security Disability practice. She later broadened her background through roles at Caroselli Beacher in Social Security law, at Ruder Law as an associate in Special Education Law, and as Managing Attorney for Project Management at Neighborhood Legal Services. She rejoined Berger & Green in 2024. Attorney Modell serves on the board of the Autism Connection of Pennsylvania and is a past member of the Board of Trustees of Achieva. She was recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer in the area of Social Security Disability Law from 2014 to 2016. She is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association Social Security committee and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives (NOSSCR).
