Valentina Ortega

Valentina Ortega is a first-generation college graduate born in Puebla, Mexico and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. She earned her bachelor's degree in criminal justice from UNLV and, while working as a legal secretary, developed a passion for law. She began her legal education at McGeorge School of Law at the University of the Pacific before transferring to William S. Boyd School of Law, graduating in 2021 with Pro Bono Honors. During law school, Valentina served as National Chair of the Hispanic National Bar Association's Law Student Division, President of the Environmental Law Society, and Part-Time Representative to the Student Bar Association. She also contributed to a second-place finish at the 24th Uvaldo Herrera National Moot Court Competition and gained experience through the UNLV Immigration Clinic. Before joining Bighorn Law, she served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Cristina D. Silva, the Honorable Maria Gall, and the Honorable Tina Talim.
