Frederick C. Aranki is a partner at Block O'Toole & Murphy in New York City who has practiced law since 1996. He joined the firm in May 2008 and represents plaintiffs in complex personal injury matters, including construction site accidents, wrongful death actions, serious motor vehicle accidents, and premises liability cases. Earlier in his career, he worked with defense firms representing insurance companies before transitioning to plaintiff-side representation.
Mr. Aranki has built a record of substantial recoveries on behalf of catastrophically injured clients. His notable results include a $30 million verdict for a 53-year-old man who was sexually abused by his elementary school teacher for more than three years as a child, a $15 million wrongful death settlement for the family of a 38-year-old HVAC technician killed by a falling object, a $10 million wall-collapse settlement, $9 million for a student injured by negligent supervision, $5 million for a pedestrian wrongful death, $4.925 million in a serious-injury motor vehicle settlement, $3.25 million for a head-on collision, and a $2.27 million verdict against the New York City Transit Authority.
Mr. Aranki earned his Bachelor of Science from Pennsylvania State University and his Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in New York, Colorado, and the District of Columbia, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and the District of Colorado. He is an active member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and has been selected to Super Lawyers from 2016 through 2025.
